Montana Renewables announced the closure of a $1.44 billion loan facility guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office. This funding will support the expansion of their renewable fuels facility in Great Falls, Montana, increasing its annual production capacity to approximately 300 million gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and 330 million gallons of combined SAF and renewable diesel. The project includes adding a second renewable fuels reactor, enhancing existing units, and installing SAF blending and logistics assets, positioning Montana Renewables as one of the largest SAF producers globally.
