Meta Acquires Credits from Four Major U.S. Solar Projects
Meta Platforms Inc. has entered into agreements to purchase green credits from four substantial solar energy projects across the United States to support its clean electricity objectives amid increasing power demands.

In collaboration with Invenergy, Meta has contracted for 760 megawatts of solar electricity, sufficient to power approximately 130,000 homes. These projects, located in Ohio, Texas, New Mexico, and Arkansas, are scheduled to connect to the grid between 2024 and 2027. This initiative is part of Meta’s ongoing efforts to sustain its data centers with 100% clean energy, complementing previous deals with large solar projects, a geothermal startup, and potential nuclear power proposals.
