In December 2024, L’Oréal reached a pivotal sustainability goal by achieving 100% renewable energy usage across its European operations, encompassing factories, distribution centers, and offices. This accomplishment is part of the company’s broader “L’Oréal for the Future” strategy, aiming for carbon neutrality and complete renewable energy adoption at all sites by 2025. Notably, by the end of 2023, 83% of L’Oréal’s operated sites worldwide had transitioned to 100% renewable energy, a significant increase from 34% in 2019. Europe plays a crucial role in L’Oréal’s global footprint, hosting 19 of its 38 factories, including 11 in France.
